The 6th International Parvaz Film Festival, organized by the Pooyandegan Pahneh Parvaz Cultural and Artistic Institute in collaboration with the Azadi Tower Cultural and Artistic Complex, will commence on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

According to Azadi Tower’s Public Relations, the festival leverages the power of cinema to promote cultural awareness and increase public understanding of disability. Coinciding with International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the festival focuses on showcasing the capabilities, challenges, and narratives related to individuals with disabilities.
This year’s festival will feature 105 selected works chosen from hundreds of submissions from across the globe, aiming to highlight the limitations and strengths of people with disabilities while fostering social awareness and empathy. Additionally, the festival will include 18 specialized workshops on cinema and disability, held at the Azadi Tower’s Café Gallery.
The Azadi Tower complex includes spaces such as the Iranology Hall, the Small Cinema Hall, the Passage of Ancestors, the Meteorite Museum in the Ceremonial Hall, the Ancient Hall (the main museum under the dome on the fourth floor), the Asman Gallery on the third floor, the Taq-e Kasra (Skylight) on the second floor, the Hall of Mirrors, the Passage of Tribes, the Café Gallery, the Main Exhibition Hall in the Amphitheater, the Knowledge Hall, and the Culture Hall. Notably, the facility has been adapted to accommodate individuals with disabilities for easier access.
The International Parvaz Film Festival, directed by scientific secretary Fataneh Amiri and artistic secretary Mehrdad Soleimani, will be held from December 10 to December 13, 2024, at Azadi Tower.
