Iran’s largest iron meteorite will be unveiled at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 18th, at the Meteorite Museum within the Azadi Tower Cultural and Artistic Complex. Unveiling of Iran’s Largest Iron Meteorite at Azadi Tower*

According to the Azadi Tower Public Relations Office, this iron meteorite weights 100 kilograms and consists of iron and nickel. Meteorites of this type originate from the cores of planets and asteroids that disintegrated millions of years ago. Recently, meteorites have also been incorporated into the jewelry industry and exclusive brands of jewelry and watches in some advanced countries.
The Meteorite Museum at the Azadi Tower Cultural and Artistic Complex is the result of the dedication of Hojjat Kamali, who has spent nearly 20 years traveling across rugged regions of the country to find these rare stones, earning him the title of “Iran’s Meteorite Man.”
