Coinciding with Yalda Night, the "Iranian Art Festival" will take place at the Azadi Tower Cultural and Artistic Complex.

According to the Public Relations Office of Azadi Tower, Seyed Mohsen Hosseini, head of the complex, stated: "Art exhibitions can play a crucial role in promoting culture, art, and creativity in society. Our goal in organizing the Iranian Art Festival is to create a creative and inspiring space that not only showcases exceptional and unique works but also provides a memorable and extraordinary experience for visitors. We aim to establish a platform where art serves not only as a visual medium but also as a tool for dialogue and discussion about social and cultural issues. We warmly invite you to join us on this exciting artistic journey."
The festival will be held daily from December 18 to December 24, 2024, featuring special programs at the Azadi Tower Cultural and Artistic Complex.
The event will open with the unveiling of "Irandocht," a traditional Iranian cultural attire created by Sonia Dashab. Simultaneously, a mirror-work sculpture by Aref Montazeri will be unveiled and displayed throughout the festival.
Festival Highlights: - A wind orchestra concert by Sina Zakaei's music group on December 18. - An exhibition of vintage Iranian photographs by Mohammad Ali Jadid ol-Islam. - An exhibition of fine Persian carpets. - A calligraphy exhibition by female artists from the Mahestan Art Foundation. - An exhibition of 8,000-year-old Iranian pottery patterns by Narges Mombini. - An exhibition and workshop featuring seven entrepreneurial artists showcasing traditional crafts such as engraving, turquoise inlay, enamelwork, Khatam inlay, miniature painting, and more, led by Zohreh Khaksar.
Special Sessions:Additionally, three specialized sessions will be held: 1. "The Role of Female Artists in Contemporary Iranian Painting and Calligraphy" with speaker Javad Bakhtiari. 2. "The Art of Mirror Work" with speaker Aref Montazeri. 3. "Iranian Patterns Before and After Islam" with speaker Narges Mombini.
Cultural and Musical Events: A special Yalda Night live event titled "Tar and Anar" will take place on the second day of the festival in the main hall of Azadi Tower.
Additionally, solo musical performances by young female musicians will be held throughout the festival.
Hosseini added that, as part of the festival’s closing events, a special program and an exhibition of traditional Iranian women's attire will be held in honor of the blessed birth of Lady Fatemeh Zahra (S), known as the Lady of Water and Mirror.
The Iranian Art Festival, organized by the Azadi Tower Cultural and Artistic Complex, will run from December 18 to December 23, 2024, across various sections of the complex.
