The Arghavan Handicrafts Exhibition will open on Friday, December 27, at 3:00 PM at the Café Gallery of Azadi Tower.
Organized by the Public Relations Office of Azadi Tower and curated by Zohreh Khaksar, the exhibition showcases a wide range of traditional Iranian arts, including pottery and ceramics, Qalamzani (Persian metal engraving), gilding, Minakari (enameling), turquoise inlaying, leather embossing, Patteh embroidery, needlework, and more.
Zohreh Khaksar, a psychology graduate and a passionate advocate for Iranian handicrafts, has been active in the field of Qalamzani since 2004. Through her exhibitions, she aims to introduce the public to the richness and diversity of Iranian art and cultural heritage.
The exhibition features the works of 24 artists, including: Sediqeh Rezapour, Fatemeh Ali Hemmati, Samira Dorzadeh, Sahar Meymanat, Matin Seyfi, Shaghayegh Mohammadzadeh Bebar, Mahdieh Sanjideh, Mahnaz Sharififar, Marjan Rezaei, Zahra Taheri, Nazi Rouyin, Samaneh Shirvani, Hedayat Heydari, Somayeh Bahrami Cheshmeh Ali, Shima Fahimpour, Somayeh Kianian, Maryam Heydarpour, Marzieh Mazaheri, Bahram Nazari Nejad, Behrouz Amini, Abbas Baghaei, Nasim Kholdinasab, Ali Pirahani, and Zohreh Khaksar herself.
The exhibition will be open to visitors from December 27 to January 3 (closed on Saturdays), daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
