The executive coordination meeting of the ritual event "Moharram Shahr" was held in the presence of Mostafa Zibayi nejad, Director General of Culture of Tehran Municipality, Seyed Mohammad Rahim Mortazavi, Mayor of Region 9, Seyed Mohsen Hosseini, Chairman of Azadi Tower, and representatives of service providers.

Simultaneously with the arrival of the second decade of the month of Muharram, the ritual mourning of the city of Tehran under the title of "Moharram Shahr" will be held under the initiative of the General Cultural Department of Tehran Municipality in cooperation with the 9th District and the Rudaki Foundation.
"Moharram Shahr" mourning is made up of various sections and programs and Hossein's "Safinat Al-Najah" ship was built at the venue of this event in Azadi Square, Tehran.
This event, with the aim of creating Hosseini's passion and consciousness and the meaningful connection of citizens with the life of Hazrat Aba Abdullah Al Hussein (AS) and Hosseini's Ashura, started from 14 Moharram and lasted until 4 Safar (July 30 to August 19) with the holding of various cultural programs in Azadi Square from It is open to the public from 18:00 to 24:00.
